To kick off the half term - NISE are working with Ashfield District Council to deliver The Ashfield Xtreme Games. A series of 6 comps of which the winners will battle it out to get through to the final on July 1st @ Titchfield Skate Park for quite a considerable amount of money and products.

First comp is this Monday Titchfield Skate Park betweeen 12 - 3pm

Harvey Hadden Schools update

Our weekly sessions at Harvey Hadden are now on hold until later on in the year due to the run up to the Olympic games, well thats the excuse they have given us. However do not despair all other schools are on at all our other venues.

Hucknall skate school closure

Sorry folks but Hucknall skate school will be closed this evening 8 - 9pm as it is Good Friday and the centre will be closed.

Skateboard Tuition with Craig Smedley

That's right folks the man himself will be freeing up his Monday evenings between 6pm - 8pm to teach the young one's the art of switchstance hardflips amongst other things.

If you fancy learning a few things from a Professional skateboarder then get yourself down to the Valley Road skatepark everymonday for 7 weeks starting this Monday 2nd April.

MORE NOTTINGHAM CONCRETE!

MORE NOTTINGHAM CONCRETE: We haver just been to scope out Long Eaton Plaza................ooooh my God, this creation is amazing. Made by Freestyle it is quite similar to the Hucknall park, but it is even bigger with added taco's and ledges! It is located on West Park in Long Eaton, the builders are still there but are super cool get down if you can!

After a few weks of uncertainty our Friday Hucknall session is back on!!! And as the trouble that was presented at the centre was nothing to do with skateboarders we have been given extra time!

SKATE FOR GIRLS PROJECT

Something positive for such a dreary day: Nottingham City Council along side Nottingham Police have funded a "SKATE FOR GIRLS" project, aimed at girls between 14 - 25 who wish to learn the art that is whizz planking.

If you are interested in this project or know someone that may be, it is a 6 week programme starting Monday 27th Feb, and will be delivered @ The Green Lane Commuinty Centre, Clifton, Nottingham, between 3.30 - 5pm.

All boards and safety gear is provided all you will need is some enthusiam and flat soled trainers!

KIMBERLEY SKATE SCHOOL!

Afetr a successful first trial, Kimberley Leisure Centre are so impressed with the Nise Skate School, they have asked us to go back every week starting this Monday 20th February.

Sessions will be between 7 - 8pm and are open to all ages and abilities!

Hucknall School update! Our Tuesday sessions are running uninterrupted, however our Friday sesion will not be running for the next 2 weeks as we are trying to work on an earlier/longer time slot. An update will be publicised as soon as this has been clarified.
